Ghost Burn Review Overview

Ghost Burn contains some great ingredients which are known to promote fat loss. We have no doubt that this fat burner will work for a lot of people. But after doing an in-depth review of Ghost Burn’s ingredient, side effects and value for money, we cannot recommend it to anybody. Ghost Burn contains a HUGE DOSE OF CAFFEINE which is definitely going to cause side effects. It also contains a lot of ingredients that do not support fat loss in any way; ingredients you are paying a lot of money for. In fact, at $44.99 per 20 servings, Ghost Burn is one of the most overpriced fat burners we have reviewed on this site. Better fat burners are on the market right now.

What is Ghost Burn used for?

Ghost Burn is a popular fat burner made by Ghost Lifestyle. This brand produces a range of high quality sports supplements, including a pre-workout, a protein powder, and a mass gainer. Ghost Burn is probably their main product.

Ghost Burn is primarily used as a fat burner. It is said to aid with fat loss and weight management. The website doesn’t give any details about what specific benefits you can expect from Ghost Burn, but it is explicitly listed as a thermogenic, which means it is designed to burn fat through thermogenesis.

So, the question we need to answer is, does Ghost Burn really work for fat loss? Is it a good thermogenic fat burner? Will it help you achieve better results from your next cut? Is it safe or will Ghost Burn cause side effects? Read our detailed Ghost Burn review below to find out!

Ghost Burn Ingredients

What are the ingredients in Ghost Burn fat burner?

Here is the Ghost Burn ingredients list as it appears on the bottle:

Ghost Burn ingredients

Here is a list of the Ghost Burn ingredients and doses:

  • Chromium – 1000mcg
  • Ghost Carnitine – 3000mg
  • Choline Bitartrate – 1000mg
  • KSM66 Ashwagandha – 600mg
  • Tyrosine – 500mg
  • Caffeine Anhydrous – 300mg
  • Cocoa Bean (20% Theobromine) – 100mg
  • NeuroFactor Coffee Fruit Extract – 100mg
  • Bitter Organe Fruit Extract – 60mg
  • Grains of Paradise Seed Extract – 40mg
  • BioPerine – 10mg

Right away we can see that this doesn’t look like your normal fat burner. Ghost Burn looks like a cross between a fat burner, a pre-workout, and a nootropic. That isn’t always a good thing, as it often means a supplement spreads itself too thin to do any one thing properly!

We’ll now go through each Ghost Burn ingredient one by one and explain what it does, how it works, and whether or not we think it belongs in a high-quality fat burner.

Chromium – 1000mcg

Chromium is frequently used in the best stim-free fat burners. It is both highly effective for supporting weight loss and is generally side effect-free. Chromium works by potentiating insulin. In other words, chromium helps insulin do its job better. This leads to better blood sugar control, reduced appetite, and reduced weight gain over long periods of time. The 1000mcg of Chromium in Ghost Burn is actually an absurd dose; about ten times more than you need to see results according to clinical studies!

Ghost Carnitine – 3000mg

There is some evidence that supplementing with L-Carnitine allows the body to burn more fat. However, we’re not convinced that carnitine is actually an effective fat burner. We have never seen any clinical studies in which people lost signficiant quantities of fat while taking carnitine supplements. We think it’s a shame that Ghost Burn using this as a main ingredient is a shame since you’re paying for something that likely doesn’t work.

Choline Bitartrate – 1000mg

Choline bitartrate is a nootropic compound. It delivers choline to the brain, which is then used to make acetylcholine; the neurotransmitter involved in focus, learning and muscle contractions. It makes sense for Ghost Burn to contain choline bitartrate, as being more focused and ‘locked in’ during workouts will definitely help you during a cut. The dose is also right in line with what researchers used in clinical trials.

KSM66 Ashwagandha – 600mg

Ashwagandha is a very strange ingredient to see in a fat burner. Normally we see ashwagandha in anti-stress supplements or testosterone boosters because of its ability to reduce cortisol levels. Cortisol does promote weight gain, so having it in a fat bnurner like Ghost Burn kind of makes sense. But ashwagandha does not have any proven effect on fat metabolism or weight management. We would therefore rather not have it in a fat burner like Ghost Burn.

Tyrosine – 500mg

Tyrosine is another unusual ingredient for a fat burner like Ghost Burn. Tyrosine is an amino acid and a precursor to the neurotransmitter dopamine. Supplementing with Tyrosine boosts dopamine, which increases motivation and enhances cognition. While you could argue that this would improve your workouts, it doesn’t mean we want to see Tyrosine is a fat burner. Especially since 500mg is far more than you need to see benefits.

Caffeine Anhydrous – 300mg

Caffeine is an extremely powerful natural sitmulant. it is easily one of the most effective natural fat burners in existence, which is why so many cheap diet pills are totally reliant on caffeine to produce results. Caffeine helps keep you energized and focused during workouts; it reduces fatigue, boosts motivation and even suppresses appetite. This makes it ideal for use during a cut when you might be training fasted or on an empty stomach.

However, be aware that Ghost Burn contains 300mg of caffeine anhydrous per serving. This is an extrmemely large dose of caffeine, especially when you consider that caffeine anhydrous is more powerful than regular caffeine. Side effects from Ghost Burn are almost guaranteed!

Cocoa Bean (20% Theobromine) – 100mg

Cocoa bean is a natural source of a stimulant called theobromine. Theobromine is often used in fat burners and pre-workouts because ot is ability to reduce fatigue, sharpen focus, and increase motivation. However, theobromine has almot identical effects to caffeine, but it is much weaker – like an order of magnitude weaker. So what’s the point in taking caffeine and theobromine together? Ghost Burn already contains far too much caffeine! Adding 20mg of theobromine on top of 300mg of caffeine anhydrous is like throwing a match onto a raging oil fire.

NeuroFactor Coffee Fruit Extract – 100mg

NeuroFactor Coffee Fruit Extract is an ingredient being increasingly used in nootropics. According to some supplement manufacturers, whole coffee fruit extracts like NeuroFactor can raise BDNF levels in the brain. This stimulates the growth of nerve tissues in the brain, which improves congition in the long-run. But there are two problems with this. First, there’s no evidence that NeuroFactor actually boosts BDNF levels in the brain. But more importantly, why would you want increased BDNF from a fat burner? This is an extremely expensive Ghost Burn ingredient that doesn’t help you lose weight!

Bitter Orange Fruit Extract – 60mg

Bitter orange fruit extract is a natural source of synephrine. This naturally-occurring stimulant is thought to act like ephedrine, the ultra-powerful stimulant and asthma drug which is known to cause rapid weight loss if abused. Synephrine is thought to ac like ephedrine because they are “structurally similar”. But this is terrible logic; water and bleach are structurally similar but they do not behave the same way in the body. There is no evidence that synephrine actually acts as an effective stimulant. There is no clinical evidence that it promotes weight loss or fat loss.

The biggest problem we have with the use of synephrine in Ghost Burn is that we already have a MASSIVE dose of caffeine and some theobromine. Side effects are almost certain! More on this later.

Grains of Paradise Seed Extract – 40mg

We have no idea why so many fat burners like Ghost Burn are using grains of paradise seed extract. As far as we ca tell there isn’t a single robust clinical study using human participants showing grains of paradise having a significant effect on fat loss or weight management.

BioPerine – 10mg

Bioperine is a branded piperine supplement. Piperine is an alkaloid fond in black pepper which is known to promote digstion and nutrient absorption. This is a ver important ingredient to have in a natural fat burner, especially one that contains unusual herbal extracts that may be difficult to digest. Nutrient absorption is also important during a diet, so piperine is an important Ghost Burn ingredient.

Ghost Burn FAQs

When should I take Ghost Burn?

It is recommended to take Ghost Burn before your morning cardio as this will produce the most pronounced fat loss over time. Ghost Burn’s thermogenic effects will be much more powerful when combined with fasted cardio, and ti is ideal to kcik start fat loss first thing in the morning.

Is Ghost Burn a pre-workout?

On question we have been asked by people on this Ghost Burn review is whether this fat burner can be used as a pre-workout.

The simple answer is that yes you can use Ghost Burn as a pre-workout. In fact, Ghost Burn should work great when used as a pre-workout. Each serving contains a huge dose of caffeine and a decent serving of choline bitartrate. This means that Ghost Burn should reduce fatigue, rapidly increase motivation and energy, and sharpen focus for the duration of a workout.

There’s nothing in Ghost Burn to induce a good pump or enhance blood flow, but it will still work great when used as a pre-workout.

Is Ghost Burn thermogenic?

Ghost Burn claims to be a well thought-out thermogenic powder. But there aren’t any serious thermogenic ingredients in Ghost Burn! The only thermogenic in Ghost Burn is caffeine, which is a weak thermogenic.

We actually have no idea why Ghost Burn has been sold as a thermogenic. Thermogenic fat burners typically have some ingredients which rapidly raise core body temperature, thereby triggering a heat response from the body and forcing you into a deeper caloric deficit. Ghost Burn contains no such ingredients – not even some basic hot pepper powder!=

Ghost Burn vs Oxyshred: Which is better

Is Ghost Burn better than Oxyshred? How do these two popular fat burners compare?

Right away we need to say that we are not impressed with either Ghost Burn or Oxyshred. Neither of these supplements look like very good fat burners to us.

We actually have very similar problems with both of these fat burners. Both Ghost Burn and Oxyshred contain useless, unproven ingredients that do not help you lsoe fat any faster than baseline. Both are hugely over-priced, and both contain ingredients you really don’t need to be paying for.

Ghost Burn vs Oxyshred

However, overall, we think Ghost Burn is better than Oxyshred. The simple reason for this is that Ghost Burn has a transparent formula with clearly stated ingredient doses. Oxyshred uses a proprietary blend which is a clear sign of a scam to us.

If you have a choice between two fat burners, and one does not tell you ingrdient doses, ALWAYS opt for the fat burner with a transparent formula. It may not be perfect but at least you know what you’re getting.

Ghost Burn Side Effects: Is it safe?

Is Ghost Burn safe?

As we have already mentioned in the Ghost Burn ingredients section, the side effect risks with Ghost Burn are substantial. We do not think this fat burner is safe to use, and most users will experience at least mild side effects.

The main risks with Ghost Burn side effcts come from the massive dose of caffeine anhydrous. Taking 300mg of caffeine anhydrous is going to cause side effects in practically everybody. Caffeine anhydrous is more powerful than regular caffeine by weight, and taking 300mg is like injecting 3 shots of espresso into your veins.

Ghost Burn side effects jitters

Combine this with synephrine and theobromine and you have a fairly substantial risk of experiencing side effects from Ghost Burn.

Side effects likely to occur while using Ghost Burn include:

  • Jitters
  • Hypertension
  • Shortness of breath
  • Heart palpitations
  • Anxiety
  • Irritability
  • Insomnia
  • Stomach cramps
  • Diarrhea
  • Headaches

We strongly recommend getting proper medical advice from your doctor before using Ghost Burn. If you experience any Ghost Burn side effects, stop using it immediately and seek medical attention.

We are not doctors and this is not medical advice. You must do your own research and think about the ingredients in Ghost Burn carefully before using this fa burner.

Ghost Burn Review Conclusion: Does it help with fat loss?

Does Ghost Burn help with weight loss?

For some people, Ghost Burn will definitely be effective for speeding up fat loss and maximizing progress during a cut.

But we wold not recommend this fat burner to anybody. It certainly does not look like it can compete with thebest fat burners on the market today; not on price, not on safety, and not on effectiveness.

Ghost Burn contains ingredients that have never been shown to support fat loss. What these ingredients do is drastically increase the risk of adverse side effects. The massive dose of caffeine in Ghost Burn is just excessive; it will give you results but it will also cause side effects that may not be worth it.

Cost is also a major consideration here. Ghost Burn costs $44.99 per tub, but each tub provides only 20 servings if using the full recommended serving size. That 10 day gap makes a huge difference ot the per serving price. It actually makes Ghost Burn one of the most expensive fat burners we have reviewed.

If you’re looking to cut excess body fat fast, we recommend checking out our current top rated fat burner, Burn Lab Pro. It actively promotes lipolysis, boosts energy levels without relying on caffeine, and protects lean muscle mass from catabolism during a cut.
